THE PROCESS OF BECOMING AN EGG DONOR

STEP ONE: Initial Application & Consent

Contact us to begin your journey, and we'll guide you through the online application process, providing clear instructions and all necessary forms. Rest assured, our team is here to help you fill out these forms accurately and efficiently.

STEP TWO: Comprehensive Screening

Upon meeting our criteria and being accepted into the program, you'll be briefed on the screening process.
This includes:
• Tests for infectious diseases
• Blood type determination
• AMH testing to assess ovarian reserve
• Complete physical and psychological evaluations

STEP THREE: Ovarian Stimulation

Your journey begins with the start of your menstrual cycle. If you are using a contraceptive injection, discontinue its use three months prior to application. For other contraceptives, please inform our donor coordinator for appropriate cycle planning. Hormonal injections, which commence on day 3 or 4 of your cycle, continue over approximately 10 days to stimulate follicle development. You'll receive guidance on self-administering these injections. Regular scans, typically 15-minute sessions in the mornings, will monitor your progress.

STEP FOUR: Egg Retrieval

This gentle procedure involves no surgery and is carried out under light sedation, typically lasting between 15 to 30 minutes. Afterward, you'll receive compensation between R7000 and R8000, dependent on laboratory or recipient agreements for 2024. Please note: driving is not advisable immediately after the procedure. Arrange transportation ahead of time for a safe return home. Post-procedure effects may include mild cramps and bloating. If needed, we can provide a medical certificate for your employer.
